I am not satisfied with the casting for Katniss…just because she really doesn’t match the physical description of the character in the book. I’m pretty sure Katniss has olive skin, black hair, grey eyes, is really skinny/malnourished, and is around 16 or 17 years old.
Brown hair, pale skin, blue eyes, healthy body weight, looks 23.
What the heckkkk movie people? I am sure that there are plenty of olive skinned, black haired actresses out there that are plenty capable of playing Katniss. Mostly because the dimension of her character is little better than Bella’s from Twilight…but still. I mean reaaally. I think that the description of Katniss seems to point her looks to something like Middle Eastern anyways.
Oh wells. Hollywood. Always gotta have some white person as the main character, even if the actual main character might not be white. This is really reminiscent of DBZ Evolution or Avatar (not the blue one). And if they really have to cast a white person they can at least make some effort to make that person look more like their character. How much does it cost to dye someone’s hair black, invest in some bronzer, and get a few pairs of grey contacts these days… -__-
